Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson not engaged

Reports that Pete Wentz proposed to Ashlee Simpson on July 7 before the Fall Out Boy’s performance at Live Earth and the two are now engaged are “absolutely not true”

Speaking with Usmagazine.com, Simpson’s rep refuted rumors that the two planned to wed soon and that their engagement was prompted by Simpson’s pregnancy. Last Friday Wentz spoke with Alan Philips and Josh Shames, promoters of club Dune in Hamptons, who quizzed him on his marriage plans.
