The 29-year-old was remanded to state custody and ordered a jail term by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson, until a hearing on September 5.
According to the Associated Press, Brown’s jail term came following her two recent legal run-ins, People magazine reports. Last week, she surrendered to police over allegations that she hit her Brooklyn neighbor with her BlackBerry device, and just one day later Mahwah, N.J. police caught her for talking on her mobile while driving her 2007 Land Rover.
