‘I am addicted to alcohol and drug,’ says Lindsay Lohan

Washington: After reaching a plea deal, which requires her to serve one day in jail, Lindsay Lohan has taken responsibility for her actions, admitting that she is addicted to drink and drugs.

The deal on the misdemeanor charges also call for the 21-year-old actress to serve 10 days’ community service and complete a drug treatment program.

“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case,” E! Online quoted Lohan, as saying in a statement.
